There are things that are just bad for you that you love anyway such as: blue Mountain Dew, fried Twinkies, Real Housewives of Orange County, Russian roulette, and Lady Gaga. Trucks and Skulls Nitro is in the same class. It is a shameless knock off of the Angry Birds games but does it with style.

Very addicting game. I enjoyed it because you can play a couple of rounds waiting for the laundry to finish or between classes at school. Easy to learn and lots of fun. Art and sound effects are top rate.

If you need to waste a little time this game is what you need. No redeeming benefits just fun and relaxation.

Remember Zuma? What a great game. Now we have a wonderful mash-up game that combines Zuma game play with elements from the arcade classic Rampage and the console classic Godzilla King of the Monsters.

You control a mechanized monster as it sets out to destroy cities across the world by knocking down buildings and blowing up tanks. You nemesis is General Moustache. A fanatical General Thunderbolt Ross clone out for Colossatron blood.

As you tear through the city power ups float across the screen. Combining them in different ways makes to make more powerful weapns. The game play accelerates with more and more enemies rushing in to defend the city. The controls are very simple letting you concentrate on the action instead of the controls. Great strategy elements combine with fun action to make a great game.

I have been playing this one non-stop for days.

This is a unique take on a game. You spin ceramics to make vases, cups, etc. Then you fire them and photography the finished result.  You submit your finished works for people to bid on in a play auction. Higher the bids the better the score.

I really like spinning the pieces. There are many many many ways to customize your pieces with a slight movement of your finger when spinning a fresh pot. Feels like making real pottery with real clay.

The price is a little high but this is a very unique game with hours of fun. Enjoy.

MicroProse is my favorite all time video game publisher. It was a video game publisher and developer, founded by Wild Bill Stealey and Sid Meier in 1982 as Microprose Software. How can you go wrong when you are founded by the Godfather of all strategy video games? The MicroProse brand is currently owned by Interactive Game Group.

In 1994 they published a revolutionary strategy video game called XCOM. It is a squad tactics game combined with resource management. The player runs the XCOM organization protecting the Earth from alien invasion.

18 years later the game is recreated as XCOM: Enemy Unknown. A complete re-working of the original with all the new additions 18 years for computer evolution allows. Great voice acting, action scenes rendered by the Unreal game engine, and fully customization of your soliders just to mention a few.

As someone who spent literally hundreds I love the re-make. The user interface on the original was a disaster. Way too many clicks to do the simplest things. The interface on the updated version is a masterpiece. It is almost invisible and completely seamlessly integrated. Bravo to the designer!
If you like strategy games I highly recommend you try the new XCOM. From the creepy sound track and nail biting action you will be in geek heaven. Enjoy!

Borderlands 2

I love this game. I bought it as a pre-release and was very satisfied with the finished product. I was not a huge fan of the original Borderlands. The bad guys were just too stupid. Who ever built the AI in the orginal must have been a real nOOb.

The hype around the sequel was loud and I am always willing to give a video game a second chance. What an upgrade! AI is much better. The story line and voice acting are FUNNY. Highly entertaining.

I found myself staying up later and later to advance the plot to find out what happens next. As much an adventure game as a shooter or role playing game.

I think Jack is going down as villain of the year and there is no better side kick than claptrap. Game play is very smooth. The graphics are more animation than reality based. This makes the load on the graphics processor much lighter. This makes the game run very well even on a mid level PC.

Highly recommended it for first person shooter and funny action games. Enjoy!

We are really late to the game with this one. If you haven't heard of Words with Friends you must not have internet at home. The game was made infamous when Alec Baldwin refused to turn off his iPhone on a plane because he was playing Words with Friends.

This game is a great brain exercise. It has a leisurely pace. You play head to head against other players. Making words from tiles like another famous word game. 

It has a chat mode so you can talk smack if the mood strikes you. It uses Facebook to connect you with friends seamlessly. If you are waiting on another player to take a turn you can surf the web or read a book. The app will notify you when a player takes their turn.

You can (and will) have many games going at the same time. I played it for hours last weekend for the first time. It really sucked me in!

This game is a load of fun. You race on the track with your finger tip then your race car runs the track at the same speed. Go too fast and you'll go into the wall.

Several tracks to play and a career mode. There are also many different cars to drive giving the game depth. This is a very unique app experience. This is a game that you can only appreciate on a tablet.

I love games that break new ground. The premise is brilliant. You are driving down the road in a the passenger seat of a car and you spot a UFO. You pull out your iPhone and start recording. I have been playing Heroclix for years. I was very excited yesterday when NECA (the owner's of Heroclix) announced that they are developing a tablet app that would work with special Heroclix game pieces. It can often be hard to find players in your area so a tablet app that let's you play people long distance is a fantastic idea.

While we cannot certify this app until we give it a try we are going to keep an eye out for the release this Fall. I hope it's GREAT.

HeroClix TabApp™ is set for release this fall.

Featuring real-time combat, HeroClix TabApp™ integrates NECA's vast array of licenses to bring popular characters commonly featured in NECA’s product lines to the game.
To play, physical miniatures are placed on the iPad device, the “digital game board.” Utilizing Icarus Studio’s xScape Platform figure recognition technology, exclusive content and game maps are unlocked based on the miniature selected. With a swipe of a finger players can move along the virtual board and take part in high-action battles against a multitude of evil villains.
