Greg's Thoughts:
Microsoft finally jumped into the tablet arena when they announced the Surface tablet on Monday evening. They are very late to the party with this product. Can they get a piece of the business that Apple's iPad has owned so far?
The high end tablet (Pro) will run full Windows 8 allowing users to use Excel and Word as well as their other favorite Windows programs. The case has an integrated keyboard making the unit very appealing to business class customers. It also has an i5 processor so speed will be great.
While this unit has lots of potential there are still many un-answered questions. The most important being PRICE. Without knowing what it costs it is hard to tell if this unit will even have a chance against the iPad. It has to be at least 25% less to even have a chance at retail. Bottom line - this is exciting news but we need many more details before we know if this is a Zune(bad) or XBOX360(good).
