Yesterday we certified Pages so today we are certifying Numbers. These two go together like peas and carrots. Numbers is the Apple version of spreadsheet software. The best way I can describe it is a spreadsheet program made by an artist rather than an engineer (i.e. Excel).  It works great and takes advantage of the iPad format really well. I am not a big fan of the desktop version of Numbers. It is a little too different than traditional spreadsheet software and feels like dealing with alien software. However you move to the iPad and I think it becomes the perfect spreadsheet program for people on the go.

I have looked at several word processors for the iPad but my favorite is the old tried and true Pages from Apple. It covers all your basic needs and throws in several extras like templates for flyers, thank you cards, posters, and party invites. It is super easy to use and is particularly great at integrating photos in documents. It also allows you to email the documents in Word format so all your contacts will think you used Microsoft Office.

Jumbo Calculator - Productivity App

I love the Jumbo Calculator app. It was the first app I downloaded when I got my iPad. I know this sounds boring but you have to have a great calculator in a corporate environment. I found myself using this app in the office constantly. The Jumbo Calculator follows the Apple motto: 'It just Works!". You can't beat the price it's FREE!
